Oğuzhan Karagüzel

Hi, I'm Oğuzhan.

I live in Istanbul. I wrote my first lines of code while studying Physics Engineering at Hacettepe University, in Prof. Dr. Yiğit Gündüç's programming classes — and I never stopped. From 2022 I built freelance projects; since 2024 I've been working at MLP Care as a Full-Stack .NET Developer. Outside work I keep building: at ByteCraft, the company I co-founded with my friend Ali Ozan Özkul, we develop VectoPos for restaurants, and on my own I build Elevare CMS, the system this very site runs on. I'm hard-working, and when something breaks I'm obsessed with fixing it until it's solved.

My journey

  1. Physics Engineering · Hacettepe University

I wrote my first code here, in Prof. Dr. Yiğit Gündüç's programming classes. Physics taught me to think in models; software taught me to solve them.

    2019
  2. Freelance software developer

Built web applications for a range of clients.

    2022 – 2024
  3. Co-founded ByteCraft

Started ByteCraft with my friend Ali Ozan Özkul to build our own products.

    2023
  4. Full-Stack .NET Developer · MLP Care

My first full-time role: building end-to-end .NET applications in healthcare.

    January 2024
  5. Elevare CMS

Started writing my own block-based CMS on GrapesJS and Blazor Server — the page you're reading was built with it.

    August 2025
  6. VectoPos goes live

Our POS/SaaS product that brings restaurant orders, tables and stock into a single panel went live.

What I do

  • Backend and distributed systems

Services in .NET; queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ), caching (Redis) and databases (PostgreSQL, MSSQL). My priority: fast today, and still easy to maintain years from now.

  • Product: VectoPos

Under ByteCraft: a POS/SaaS product that brings restaurant orders, tables and stock management into a single panel.

  • Open source: Elevare CMS

A block-based CMS for building and running a site without writing code. This site is Elevare's longest-running test.

  • Writing and teaching

I write up what I learn in articles and talk about it on YouTube — from bitwise operations in C# to Aristotle's Categories.

My tech stack

C# / .NET is at the centre of everything: APIs with ASP.NET Core, admin panels with Blazor Server, data access with Entity Framework Core. Clean layers, the Result pattern and testable code aren't a luxury for me — they're the default.

PostgreSQL and MSSQL for relational data; Redis for caching; Kafka and RabbitMQ for messaging between services. Understanding how a system behaves under load is one of my favourite problems.

React for interfaces; GrapesJS for the drag-and-drop page builder at the heart of Elevare. I care about a fast, accessible interface as much as the service behind it.

Everything runs in Docker; it ships with nginx on Linux servers. This site goes live on its own the moment I push.

I'm hard-working. When something breaks, I'm obsessed with it until it's solved.

Away from the desk

  • Motorcycles

The best way to clear my head: a helmet, the road and a bit of wind.

  • Chess

Thinking a few moves ahead — also the first rule of good architecture.

  • Philosophy

There's even an article of mine tracing object-oriented programming back to Aristotle's Categories.

  • Games

In RTS, lately Surviving Mars and Ancestors Legacy; my all-time favourites are the Souls games — Elden Ring and Dark Souls.

These days

  • Elevare

Still building the CMS this site runs on; every new block is tried here first.

  • Archmage Simulator

The game project I'm working on.

Things people ask me most

How did you go from physics engineering to software?

I wrote my first code in Prof. Dr. Yiğit Gündüç's programming classes at Hacettepe and never stopped after that. I graduated in 2019; from 2022 I worked freelance, and since 2024 I've been developing software professionally at MLP Care.

Why did you write your own CMS?

I wanted to combine a good web application with a solid SEO foundation. I wanted full control over my own site — and for someone who can't code to be able to build and run theirs. Elevare is open source and free.

What is VectoPos?

A POS/SaaS product Ali Ozan Özkul and I build under ByteCraft: order, table and stock management for restaurants in a single panel. It went live in January 2026.

Which technologies do you work with?

Mostly C# / .NET, alongside PostgreSQL, MSSQL, Redis, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Docker and React. The details are in "My tech stack" above.

Do you take freelance or consulting work?

No, I don't take freelance or consulting work — but I'm open to new job opportunities. If you're stuck on something, ask: I'll answer for free, as best I can — just use the form below.

Which languages do you speak?

Turkish and English.

A job opportunity, or a problem to solve?

I'm open to new job opportunities. If you're stuck on something, write to me too — I'll help for free, as best I can.
